Which is better in airsoft, gas blowback or non blowback?
About a year ago I bought a Full Metal Airsoft Gas Blowback gun for about $120. This year my youger brother has decided to get a fifty dollar non-blowback airsoft gas gun. He claims that Non-Blow back is better from all angles. Are they really better?? Mine is metal but he says that is the only advantige mine gun has over his… so any clarification would be great!

USUALLY a non blowback is stronger and cheaper.
less moving parts decreases price and makes it more durable, it’ll last longer without wearing out and it’s easier to fix. it’s also far more efficient in cold weather because blow back guns vent alot of gas as it is (the gas used for hte blowback is wasted, the non blowback puts it all behind the bullet making it FAR stronger and more efficient)
however the blowbakc usually looks much much better and you’re usually only using a gas pistol for a side arm, which own’t be often so most people are recomended to buy their gun for looks., as far as looks and realism go the blow back trumps.
so tactically and functionally non-blowback are FAR more powerful but look worse.

Are there any alternatives to using a hot glue gun?
I am trying to stick a cotton material to a plastic surface would superglue do the trick ?

You could use a 3M spray adhesive product. I’ve done fabric covers over plastic frames and have flat-uphostered fabric over plastic chairs with 3M Super 77 Multipurpose spray adhesive.
But other than testing glues (and see what fails), why not try the adhesive search function on the “This to That” website which discusses appropriate adhesives for extraordinary uses. Just use the drop down lists to select what you are gluing to what and they’re give forth recommendations; they also have interesting links.

A consideration is whether you are flat-adhering, like I did with fabric covering a chair, or whether you’re dotting bits of plastic to fabric, or bits of fabric to plastic. You see, weight can be an issue. If something is ‘hanging’ off, you might want to use an epoxy. These are glues that come in two parts, are mixed only when you are going to use them and come in 5-minute or 30-minute (or more) drying times.
For myself, for most three dimensional get-it-stuck activities, I use the multipurpose E-6000; like with all adhesives, just be sure to open a window.
