Whats a premium pair of waterproof hunting boots?

I’m looking for a pair of 10″ hunting/hiking boots that are waterproof to the top of the boot. So many brands out there, I need some help narrowing it down.

I can only help you in one way. Stay away from the Rocky Brand.In the past they were a good choice but now it is different matter. My hunting partner and I both bought a pair of lace up Rocky waterproof, snake proof boots last year.His leaked immediately and mine did not last but 2 weeks and they started leaking. We returned them and exchanged them for another pair.Both pair started leaking immediately, just as the first pair did.They also created blisters on both of us. And when we read the insert that was in the box with the boots, it stated they offered protection against most snakes.If they lied about the waterproofing, I am sure they lied about the snake proof aspect of the boot also. Since we took the first pair back, we were too embarrassed to take the second pair back. So my advice- do NOT get Rocky boots!

Opinions on single moms having to put babies in foster care for deployment?

An Army cook and single mom may face criminal charges after she skipped her deployment flight to Afghanistan because, she said, no one was available to care for her infant son while she was overseas.

What a terrible situation. How can they expect a mother to be able to leave her tiny baby like that? I hope any charges are dropped and changes are made to insure this doesn’t happen again. Single parents in the military should have the option to refuse deployment. It’s not right to tear a mother and young child apart for a year especially at such a critical age.

How to find the perfect fit for high heel boots?

I bought two pairs of high heel boots. They both fit perfectly without socks but are a bit tight with socks. I tried a size up and they both were a bit loose with socks. How do your boots fit? =) Thanks!

You need to try them on with whatever socks you plan to wear them with–that goes for any shoe.

OR you can get thinner socks (called “trouser socks”)–I love the ones from J. Crew. That’s what I wear with my boots.
