I’d like to start a air or pellet gun match via mail, but how to I know participants are honest?
A friend and I were talking about this. Various “classes” for shooters. For example 14-17, 18-65, 65 and up. Men and Women. Various rifles, such as low end sporters like Daisy 901 or 880S, Crosman 2100B, Benjamin Sheridan 397 (without upgraded sights). Better sporters like Gamo CFX. Competition rifles like Avanti 753 or even better. With scope or without? How about pistols? I have a Crosman 1377C, which isn’t bad, but no match for a pistol designed for competition. The combinations are endless.
I’d like to promote the safe, fun use of air guns. I also want it to be fair, and include people like myself with very modest guns who normally would be unable to compete. I don’t want people shooting at 33′ targets from 10′ just to score better. Actually the target can be scaled down is size for closer distances.
Would you compete in such matches? No prizes, perhaps only certificates or ribbons for all.
